Birth Support
Our doulas help ensure a safe and satisfying birthing transition during labor and after. We practice non-medical and emotional support teaching coping transitions for labor as well as at home postpartum care techniques that will help you become successful in the months to follow.
We Recognizes birth as a key experience the mother will remember all her life.
Interview A complementary consultation held BEFORE the 35th week of pregnancy. During this visit your doula team will get acquainted and discuss all services, your expectations, any pregnancy fears and the proper birth plan you approve.
Prenatal Visits 1-2 prenatal visits take place and during this visit we will write a birth plan. (if you haven't already done so) We will also educate and guide you so that you can practice proper birthing positions, and comfort techniques.
Labor and Delivery We will be at your side every step of the way as soon as you begin labor or whenever you feel you need our assistance. Whether you decide to have a medicated or un-medicated birth our role is to support any decision you make and help you have the birth experience you want and desire.
After Delivery We will remain with you for 1-2 hours, unless you are comfortable and your family is ready for quiet time together. We would like to meet one last time within one to two weeks following your birth to see how you are doing, review the birth, and to get feedback from you about our roles as your birth team.
Breastfeeding We have personal experience and training in breastfeeding and will be able to help you start the initial breastfeeding after the birth of your baby.
